Loneliness

This picture connotes loneliness. The fact that he is by himself, shows loneliness, but also being around things like boats that wonder the seas by themselves. The canted/Dutch angle shows how the world around him is tipped sideways and represents the loneliness within the world and around him. The photo denotes a boy sitting on a wall by himself by the water with some boats in the background. the dull colours such as grey and blue in the background show and depict loneliness, whereas the red could depict the anger of being lonely and no longer wanting to be lonely. The camera shot was a long shot to show the person with nobody around to add to the theme of loneliness, but also shows how in the background there is only industrial equipment and inanimate objects around him.

Fear

The photo denotes two shadows behind some fencing. It connotes fear as somebody is trying to escape from the grasp of the person behind them, however the "bars" is stopping them from getting out, like a prison. The camera angle is a Dutch angle to show a sense of eeriness but also to show how it is slightly off as it shows the world in a different perspective. The camera shot is a mid shot to show the main persons shadow, but to also show the person behind, to add to the element of fear of being trapped and wanting to escape.

Poverty

The photo denotes a boy sitting in an alleyway begging. It connotes poverty as he has his hands out like he is begging and the dull colours represent the hard times and the fact that where he is isn't very wealthy. The camera angle is high angle to represent the richer people looking down on the poor. The photo is also a long shot to show the person begging, but also to show the area that he is in and to show poverty throughout the whole photo.

Purity

The photo denotes a church and some trees. The photo connotes purity as a church is considered holy and a place of peace and where people go to pray. The lighting helps to show purity as it is bright and purity is considered as bright and white. The camera angle is a low angle to emulate power. The shot is a long shot to shot purity in other ways, as the trees in the photo represent life around the church, and life is considered pure, therefore meaning the photo represents purity.

Wealth

The photo denotes a boy on the phone, wearing a watch and glasses. The photo connotes wealth as the phone and watch are considered to be expensive items, or luxuries. The camera shot is a close up, this is to show the items in detail. The solar panels in the background also represent wealth as they are quite expensive, but at the same time save you money. The camera angle is an eye level angle to again show the items in detail. The photo is bright to represent the happiness that wealth can bring, however the black t-shirt could represent the dark side of wealth and what it can do to a person if they let it consume them.
