The Clerks as we know is a low budget film. A way we know this is because of how it is filmed. It is filmed in a small shop and doesn't really move away from this. The shop is quite bad with the shutters of the shop jammed shut, which represents how its on a low budget. Another way you can tell is because the actors are not very well known and you see the same characters throughout the film, and are only introduced to a few more, which could suggest that they didn't have much money to pay the actors, therefore meaning they were on a low budget.
